How did this all get started?

Let us suppose for the sake of argument that an exclusive club exists somewhere on the Internet, comprised of several FMyLife staff members and a sprawl of certain, unnamed commenters. Now continuing on with this wild and baseless conjecture, suppose as a way to unwind, they shared with each other fun moments from FML, such as amusing comments, equally-amusing screw-ups, embarrassingly bad member profiles, etc.

Not that any such club has ever been proven to exist, but if it did, it would seem a waste to keep the concept limited to a snobbish clique. This site was created to test the waters and see whether the idea would catch on as a standalone website. And it has.

Who moderates here? Can I join?

The current list of moderators on this website can always be found on the site footer, at the bottom-right of any page. Joining the quote moderation team is of course by invitation only.

Isn't this similar to Bash.org?

Yes it is, but with numerous differences. The concept is identical, and numerous sites have taken the quote database concept and applied it to their own ends over the years; Bash.org, the Uncyc QDB, and DansTonChat, among others, each catering to a specific audience. This site is the idea as spun from the FMyLife community.

Blah blah, Internet Explorer, mobile devices, blah blah?

This site is designed for use by modern, forward-looking web browsers. It goes without saying that Internet Explorer is not one of those browsers, and older versions especially lack modern CSS support, and so may or may not play nicely with the site. Therefore, we recommend using a more civilised browser, such as Firefox, Chrom(e/ium), Opera, or others if such things matter to you. We neither support nor care for any version of Internet Explorer pre-dating version 9.

Why don't some features work?

In all likelihood, if you click a button and nothing happens, you probably have JavaScript disabled. In order for several main functions to work, JavaScript must be enabled; this is the default in all major browsers, so if for some reason you have disabled it—perhaps under the pretence of security—we figure you can re-enable it without hand-holding or a how-to guide.

How can I send feedback, requests, bug reports, etc?

This can be quickly and easily done by sending us an email, which you can do by clicking here. If you have an account on the forum you may optionally post your enquiries there.
