FMyLife Enhancer - v1.0.0

FML Enhancer

The FMyLife Enhancer is a userscript written primarily by FYLDeep, with various additions and tweaks by Sirin and Freeze. It alters the look and feel of the FMyLife site and its comments section, while also adding several useful functions that are otherwise not present on the site. This is a userscript, and functions as a web browser add-on.

Features

Aesthetic tweaks: User profile pictures in the comments are enlarged, among other small changes, giving a fresher look and feel over the original, spartan appearance of the main site.

Comment highlighting: Comments posted by certain established or otherwise interesting commenters are shaded green so you can more easily pick out the comments probably worth reading. Conversely, comments made by more troublesome or irritating commenters are shaded gray to skip over. The current user list can be found in this thread on the forum.

Comment statistics: Also known as the No Life Stats, analytics information is provided in a new box on the right-side panel, showing the number of comments posted by each user in the currently viewed FML.

Quote submission: Each comment is given a link you can click, which will take the comment in question, add it into an on-screen notepad, and format it correctly, making for quick and easy submission of quotes to the QDB.

Installation

This is a userscript, so you'll need to have a web browser which supports running them. This shouldnt be a problem for most people, as both Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome support this functionality. Were going to assume you know better than to use Internet Explorer, and that if you use any browsers other than those we list, youre probably uber-leet and know all this anyway.

Google Chrome / Chromium
Chrome supports non Web Store userscripts such as the FML Enhancer by way of the Tampermonkey script manager extension, which you can download here, from the Web Store. Once Tampermoney is installed, you can simply follow the script's download link for installation.

Mozilla Firefox
Firefox supports userscripts by way of the Greasemonkey add-on, which you can get here, from Mozilla's official add-on site. Once Greasemonkey is installed, you need only follow the script's download link, and you will be presented with the option to install the userscript.

Upgrading

Just install the script via the normal method. If the version here is newer than the one you already have installed, then you will be upgraded accordingly.
